Innovation and Efficiency Wins Bobcat Awards at CES 2024 for T7X & S7X.

February 1, 2024

Innovation and Efficiency Wins Bobcat Awards at CES 2024 for T7X & S7X.

Awarded by CES in 2024 for industry innovation, Bobcat has pushed beyond their first all-electric track loader T7X at CES 2022. The S7X is powered by a Lithium-ion battery meaning the machine emits zero emissions which is great for indoor uses and low emissions.

The Future of Bobcat Electric Equipment

Minimal Maintenance – With new electric powertrains the T7X and S7X contain half as many components overall, meaning less parts that would need maintenance, replacement, and repair. Alongside this, the fluids used in the machine are reduced by 96% which helps simplify troubleshooting and regular servicing.

Quiet Operation – With electric powertrains, the X series provides the opportunity to use equipment with minimal noise pollution from operation. The lack of noise pollution produced from the fact of having no combustion engine components makes the all-electric line-up a strong choice for urban, populated areas where foot-traffic is high.

Zero Emissions – Alongside zero noise pollution these machines also produce zero emissions during use on the jobsite. Not only does this boost the environmental cleanliness of jobsite operations but also allows operators to use these machines within warehouses and other buildings without the risk of emitted gases being confined indoors.

Full Day’s Work – The T7X and S7X can complete a full working day on a single charge so you won’t have to worry about charging or losing efficiency throughout the day. These models have a lithium-ion battery of 72.6 kWh powering the permanent magnet brushless motor.

New T7X & S7X Models

Measuring up the same as the alternative S76 ICE models, the S7X is just as capable as the combustion engine options. The T7X boasts an ROC of 2,900 lbs. which means it’s equally as able as the T76 Bobcat model that uses a 74 hp T4 engine. Being an electric machine the weight of these is higher than their ICE counterparts by a margin of approximately 1,500 lbs. (T7X vs T76) as batteries increase the heft of the machine, however, this does not impact the travel speed for the T7X & S7X compared to alternatives (7.8mph/12.6kmph).

With the T7X being announced in 2022 at CES and now the S7X in 2024, these machines are expected to enter industry for purchase and rental in the coming year(s) alongside alternative ICE options.
