Key Maintenance Schedule for Your Bobcat Compact Tractor Model

Every so often your equipment will need a little care to keep it up and running in best conditions. The maintenance schedule below has been outlined by Bobcat as the best times to conduct maintenance and replacements of parts over the lifespan of your machine.

Use the links below to navigate the guide outlined by Bobcat. This guide will help you keep your equipment safe and healthy throughout it's lifespan of use. (Note: Each maintenance checklist should be completed after every outlined interval).

Key Maintenance & Repairs

After every 50 hours using your machine

  1. Transmission/HST - Replace fluid and filters.
  2. Front Differential - Replace oil.
  3. Brake Pedal Free Play - Check pedal freeplay and adjust as necessary.
  4. Clutch Pedal Free Play - Check pedal freeplay and adjust as necessary (If equipped).
  5. Alternator/Fan Belt - Adjust belt.
  6. Wheel Bolt/Nut Torque - Check wheel bolt/nut torque.
  7. Grease Fittings - Grease all machinery pivot points with multipurpose lithium based grease.

After 100 hours of machine up-time

  1. Battery - Check cables, connections and hold down.
  2. Alternator/Fan Belt - Adjust belt. Replace as needed.
  3. Parking Brake & Pedal Free Play - Check the condition and adjustment. Repair or replace as needed. Adjust freeplay.
  4. Clutch Pedal Free Play - Check the condition and adjustment. Repair or replace as needed. Adjust freeplay.
  5. Fuel Line - Check the hose connections and clamp tension. Repair or replace as needed.

After 200 hours of machine use

  1. Transmission Filter and HST Filter - Replace the filters.
  2. Fuel Filter - Replace the filter.
  3. Engine Air Filter(s) - Check primary air filter and replace if needed. Replace the filter yearly.
  4. Cooling System - Check condition of hoses and clamps. Replace as necessary.
  5. Hydraulic And Power Steering Hoses And Lines - Check condition of hoses and lines and check for leaks. Repair or replace as necessary.
  6. Air Intake Hoses - Check the condition of the hoses and clamps. Replace as needed.
  7. Toe In - Check and adjust as needed.

Every 400 hours up-time

  1. Engine Oil And Filter - Replace engine oil and filter.
  2. Transmission Fluid, Transmission Filter and HST Filter - Replace fluid and filter.
  3. Front Axle Oil - Replace the oil.

After every 600 hours.

  1. Front Axle Pivot - Adjust the front axle pivot.

After 800 hours of up-time

  1. Engine Valves - Adjust the engine valve clearance.

After each 1,000 hours of use or every 24 months

  1. Coolant - Replace the coolant.
